The Polestar 2 is available as a rear wheel drive with a single motor or as an all-wheel drive model with dual motors. The Polestar 2 powertrain produces 299 horsepower in the rear-wheel drive model and 421 horsepower in the dual-motor model. The dual motor has a range of up to 276 miles while the single motor model increases that number to 320 miles. The Long Range Dual Motor Performance Plus model produces 455 horsepower. Polestar claims the 2 model can accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 4.5 seconds. Notable features on the Polestar 2 include LED front fog lights with a cornering function that improves visibility in murky weather. At speeds below 19 miles per hour, the left or right light illuminates the area close to the car when cornering or using the indicators. This provides a better view of the road when it’s dark, making it easier to judge curves and intersections. A panoramic roof, 19-inch alloy wheels, and a towing capacity of up to 2000 lbs. are all part of what makes the Polestar 2 unique. Standard features include heated mirrors, seating for 5, heated front seats, driver seat memory settings, automatic dual-zone climate control, an HD Satellite radio, an 8-speaker sound system, an 11.2-inch touchscreen, voice activated navigation system, 4 USB ports, Bluetooth, and a 12.3-inch instrument gauge cluster. Safety features are plentiful with automated parking sensors, Blind Spot Information System with steer assist, Cross Traffic Alert with brake support, Rear Collision Warning and Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, and 360 degree Cameras.
